Welcome this new 17-footer to the Huron family. The longest model in the series based off the popular Prospecteur hull but cut shallower for those carrying less gear or wanting Esquif lightest 17 for improved portaging and cartopping at the end of a long day on the water.

When the wind picks up later in the day it’s lower profile will offer improved tracking and control. Made out of T-Formex Lite, the Huron 17 is perfect for wilderness explorers or families looking for an indestructible canoe that will hold its shape and give you confidence for many years on the water.

T-Formex Lite is a NOT a cheapening of the material, rather a reoptimization of where the material is placed for each model. Esquif also looked at every component to see where they could achieve weight reduction.
